The heat ritual the spa takes its name from, and not a table massage. You warm through in stages, the therapist works over you with a leafy birch venik, and cooling breaks are built into the middle rather than tacked on the end. Herbal tea to finish.

Deep Tissue Massage
Slow, firm work through the upper back, neck and shoulders. The ninety minutes is the whole point - pressure like this cannot be rushed. Say something early if it is firmer than you want; the therapist adjusts as you go rather than starting again.

Long, flowing strokes at a light to medium pressure, working from the shoulders down. Nothing about it is demanding, which is why it is the usual pick at the end of a full working day or a long drive rather than at the start of one.

What to Expect From a Russian Spa Experience
A session starts with a short conversation, not with you face down on the table. The therapist asks what you want from the hour, whether anything is sore or best left alone, and what pressure suits you — light, medium or firm. Answer that one honestly; the pressure that feels right to one guest is either too much or pointless for the next.
The room is private and reset between guests, with fresh linen, clean towels and the oils laid out where you can see them. You are given time on your own to change and settle before the therapist comes back in.
During the treatment, speak up whenever you like. Firmer, lighter, skip the shoulders — none of that is an interruption, and a therapist would far rather adjust at minute ten than hear at the end that the whole hour was uncomfortable. Afterwards, do not rush off: sit for a few minutes and drink some water before you head back to the car.
Full Body Massage in Gurgaon
